Crisis and risk detection
Four risk states, alerts that name the reason, and an incident flow that survives a handover.
A trust problem is cheapest to fix in the week it appears. Crisis detection exists to compress the gap between a public signal changing and somebody at the clinic knowing about it.
A clinic sits in exactly one of four risk states — Calm, Watch, Alert, or Crisis. The state is always rendered with a label and an icon as well as a colour, because urgency communicated through colour alone is invisible to a substantial share of readers and disappears entirely in high-contrast modes.
When a state changes, the alert carries the signal that caused it and the evidence behind that signal. An alert that only says “attention required” is a notification, not intelligence.
What it produces

- A current risk state per clinic — Calm, Watch, Alert, or Crisis — with a label and an icon.
- Alerts naming the specific signal that triggered the change, with linked evidence.
- Incidents that move New → Acknowledged → Investigating → Actioned → Resolved.
- An audit trail of who acknowledged what and when, so a handover loses nothing.
- Per-clinic notification recipients and thresholds.
Boundaries
What this capability will not do
Stated so the limits are known before you rely on it, not discovered afterwards.
- It does not contact patients, reviewers, or platforms on your behalf.
- It does not escalate to anyone outside the recipients you configure.
- It does not raise a state change without the evidence that justifies it.
- It does not use colour as the only carrier of urgency.
